Lesson 9
The 36 Decans of the Zodiac
In Lesson 2 we saw how the Zodiac is divided up into 12 Sun signs, and
each are attributed to 30 degrees for each sign. Decans further divides each
sign into 3 , equally divided by 10 degrees. We also find that each Sun sign
ruler is also dictated by the Decan.
This becomes very interesting when we look at some of the outer planets such as
Pluto currently travelling through Capricorn. During 2013 and 2014 Pluto
will move through the first Decan of Capricorn ( Ruler Saturn) into the second
Decan (Ruler Venus).
Now we can see the importance of Decans especially with the slower moving outer
Planets. See

2013 Themes

how some of the themes of 2013 will play out during the course of the year, with
the help of our software
Moving Stars we can see precisely see when each Planet changes decan.
Jupiter moves between Gemini Venus and Uranus and enters Cancer 25th June
2013 ruled by the The Moon and Pluto
Saturn moves between the Rulership of Pluto and Neptune during early 2013 and
then remains in Neptune from 30th September to 28th December 2013. The last 3
days of the year it enters The Moon.
Chiron moves between Neptune and enters the Moon's decan on 9th March
2013 until 7th October when it re-enters Neptune for the remainder of the year.
Uranus moves between the Rulership of Mars and The Sun
Neptune remains Ruled by Neptune
Pluto moves between the Rulership of Saturn until 21st January 2013 and
then enters Venus until 14th July 2013, it then re-enters Saturn until 23rd
November 2013, when it rejoins the Venus decan. Tip: Pay attention to these
Pluto decan
dates!
Eris remains ruled by Jupiter
Sedna remains ruled by Saturn
